By Sunday morning, the site must be returned to MSC Oschersleben in a perfectly clean and tidy condition within three days. What can be said? Thanks to some real energy, the site is indeed clean and tidy by Tuesday afternoon, and the festival will be hosted there again next year. Almost at the same time as the last of the crew, the remaining campers also leave the area, some to go home, others, as myself, to the next festival, Rockharz beckons, and with us you can bridge the time until then for free in the immediate vicinity. Save the date:
Everyone’s a winner
Of course, music and great bands are not the only things that make Rock & Metal Day’z special. It is a charity event for children and young people as well as their parents in need, so donations are collected, collection boxes are distributed everywhere, raffle tickets are sold and the wheel of fortune is spun.

Contributors and Donors
These alone amount to over €4,000. There are also numerous individual donations. The largest contributions came from Heiko Kröber and his employer Spiratec AG with €3,250 and Frank‘s birthday party with €1,500. Other contributions included €1,000 from Termath AG, €850 from Beier Schachtsanierung, €509 from Katze’s Essecke Blankenburg, Jahncke’s Messeservice €500, the Institute for Paints & Coatings €500, HMC Odens Söner €400, Little Flame €333, AutoPlus AG €300 and many other smaller donations, totalling well over €10,000!
Sponsors
In addition, there is targeted event sponsorship and funding from, among others, Wacken Foundation €5,000, project funding from the city of Oschersleben €5,000, Zweirad Schließer OC €400, Ulrich von Neumann Dachdeckermeister €200 and Morgenstern Bedachungs GmbH €200. Without these sums, it would be difficult to stage the event at this level of quality.
Effective support
It should also be mentioned that we have provided €3,000 to Lio Tobisch and his family for the necessary therapy for their son, which unfortunately is not covered by health insurance. The symbolic handover of the sum will take place on Friday afternoon.
Bottle caps for life
We also have our bottle cap donation again. Half of the collected amount will be transported in a tractor trailer, half! And the trailer was filled to the brim. In total, we are talking about approx. 1,000 kg, which will go to Jeanette Lehmann for the benefit of the Berlin Children’s Hospice!!! A significant part of this is made up of the collection from the Braunschweig police department, whose bottle cap representative Annebelle will personally come by to hand over the immeasurable amount of over 130 kg, mind you, most of which comes from non-alcoholic beer bottles and drinks. Thank you very much for that!
Auction
And then there is the auction of the carved RMD’z bench. As in the previous year, two bidders engaged in an exciting race, and for an impressive € 2345,67 , it went to the new owner, who rounded up to €2,400, and an anonymous donor added another €100, bringing the total to €2,500 for a good cause.
Raffle
A total of 11 prizes were awarded in the raffle, including secret packages containing tickets for Metal Frenzy, Helmfest, Heimburger Metalnächte, RMD’z, an illuminated and engraved Rock & Metal Day’z mirror, of which there are only 22 in the world, merch and CD packages from Reigning Phoenix Musik, books “Wacken – das perfekte Paralleluniversum” by Lydia Polwin-Plass, as well as signed framed posters by Dirkschneider and a few more items. Without these donations, the raffle would not have been possible.
Every cent counts
As we all know, every little bit helps, so for very little money, people spun the wheel of fortune and picked up some great bargains, from bags of gummy bears to tattoo vouchers, all for just €1 per spin. It should be noted that all the prizes were donations from members and their friends, including three boxes of sweets and countless boxes full of small and large items. Anyway, here are pics of members of our best crew of the world.
Whisky and Rum and Punch
Right next to it is the small oasis of well-being that is the Whisky and Rum Lounge. Tried out for the first time last year, the volunteer team is going full throttle with some extreme drops. There are over 20 varieties on the menu, plus the infamous rock and metal punch and, new this year, the glam punch. As in the previous year, all bands are invited for a drink after their performance, and many musicians stay longer and fill not only themselves but also the donation box. Everyone involved has fun, and many crew members also appreciate the relaxing effect of the fine drink. Of course, all proceeds go entirely to MA.D.E.for Kids. Do you recognise the bands?
See you next year
So that was Rock & Metal Day’z 2025. Next year, it will continue at the same venue, this time with Tankard and Burning Witches, among others, who enjoyed themselves so much in 2024 that they spontaneously and gladly agreed to return in 2026. In any case, they are a very pleasant band without any airs and graces, making them an enrichment for any festival, not only musically. Have a look at the line-up so far, isn’t it great? Don’t hesitate and get your tickets now!
Online:
Please buy physical music or download it from the bands official sources and don’t stream it for free because it steals your artists’ income.
