I turn over in bed and suddenly it's Saturday morning, the last day of my two-week festival holiday before I drive home on Sunday. I already miss my cats... Nevertheless, at 11:20, it's time for the sensational newcomer, PINHEAD, to open on the Rock Stage. I’m not the only one blown away by their raw industrial modern metalcore this early in the day. Finland is very progressive in this case...

NOAF 2025, Our First Time

Three weeks after the Party.San Open Air, it's time for the second and final encore of my summer festival season. I will be visiting a nearby festival. In fact, it is so close that I had never been before. For 19 years, it was just too close in time to another festival that I had attended regularly for almost a decade. Now, however, the time has come for me to add NOAF in Wörrstadt to my list of local festivals. I will therefore commute between my warm, dry bed at home and the festival.

Rockharz 2025 – We Made It

On the first of July, the time has come, I'm getting ready for the third festival in a row without an interruption. It means leaving Rock & Metal Day'z area for Ballenstedt after breakfast to attend the Rockharz Festival. This time, the journey there and back should be more relaxed and without major traffic jams and criss-crossing than in previous years. For the first time, different routes have been specified that lead to the various campgrounds.

Rock & Metal Day’z 2025 – we did it!

On Sunday 22nd June morning I make my way to the second of three festivals. My car is fully packed for a raid to Oschersleben and Rock & Metal Day’z 2025. As last year, it is going to be a demanding 10 days experience. Now I meet with the others who have been eagerly awaiting this weekend for a year. They are the members of MA.D.E.for Kids e. V. and friends who will be hosting Rock & Metal Day'z 2025 from 26th to 28th June. They are very excited about the new location, the Autocross-Rennstrecke An Den Sieben Bergen in Oschersleben. How will the set-up go, will it be too cramped, are there any uncertainties, or will everything run smoothly?

All paths lead to Rockharz 2025 – traffic update –

The festival season of 2025 has already begun, with the calendar filling up with events each weekend. I have three festivals scheduled in a row, so it is no different for me: First is Ulmich om Braand, located between Frankfurt and Fulda on the 20th and 21st of June. From there I will be heading to Rock & Metal Day’z at Oschersleben near Magdeburg, just 50 km away from my last festival on this tour. The festival runs from the 26th to the 28th of June, but I am part of the crew, so I will be there to help with setting up and taking down the festival during the week before and after. Finally, I will be heading to the Rockharz Festival in Ballenstedt from 2nd to 5th July.

The Fun Interview with Nanowar Of Steel

It is always lovely to meet the one or other artist during festivals. Either by accident because they run into you or the other way round, or because you are scheduled for an interview with them. I've rarely had more fun in less time than during this interview with Gtto. Even Lisa from Napalm Records said afterwards, "This is a band you have to understand and get into, but you have the right kind of humour for it."
