Edge Of Paradise – Prophecy

Today we review Edge Of Paradise's new album "Prophecy", which will be released on 7th March 2025 via Napalm Records. You can pre-order several editions. It contains ten songs, three of which have already been released as video singles. The style of the LA based band is described as Cinematic Metal by their label Napalm Records, but during my interview with vocalist Margarita Monet last year we came up with "Industrial Cyber Metal" instead.

BonFire Rose on Higher Ground

I can easily count them as one of my heroes from my youth. Apart from a short hiatus in the late 90s, the band has been around since 1972, first under the name Cacumen and since 1986 as Bonfire. The new album “Higher Ground” release is set on 24th January, three singles have already been released and the tour of the same name has just started. Tonight they play the legendary 7er Club in Mannheim.

Frozen Crown – War Hearts

I have seen this band live several times as support so far and what I talk about today makes me hungry for a headliner tour. Italian Power/Symphonic-Metalists Frozen Crown release their fifth album, the first one under the label of Napalm Records and with six members. After the fulminant “Call Of The North” it is now time for the “War Hearts”. I also interviewed guitarist and co-founder Federico Mondella a few days before the tour started and their album release, so pay attention to this interesting and detailed interview. Otherwise, here we go.

On the Edge with Margarita

Margarita Monet, the vocalist of Edge Of Paradise and I had spent several hours together already. We’ve been talking about this and that, flight, gear, problems, tour, etc. since I met the band two hours prior doors opened. We almost forgot that we had scheduled an interview. Thus, most of the questions had already been answered by Margarita but not been recorded. We finally sit down backstage around midnight when the venue is emptying, and everybody can become a bit more relaxed.

PATRIARKH – Prorok Ilja

Today is the time for an extraordinary album release and one of the earliest in 2025. I listened to it on Christmas Day and I thought it was very appropriate for the day. Of course it is not a Christmas album or any kind of radio-oriented adult music, but the mood was just perfect. Enough said, of course we are talking about PATRIARKH's return with a masterpiece of arcane Black Metal!
