Finally

And then it is over, last chord played. Andreas who admits being tipsy enters the stage again. He invites all the helping hands to join him for their applause from the audience. One, two, three, ten, twenty, maybe more than thirty people find together, the stage now really is crowded. Amazing how many people are needed even for a smaller festival. They would party for a while privately, let off steam and enjoy the success of the event just to prepare breakfast the very next morning….

Goodbye, see you in 2023

Small eyes, red faces and noses reign. Party hard, party good and pay the price. Early breakfast, then get packed and travel back home. Better don’t risk a late departure on a Whitsun Monday in Germany or prepare for some extra hours in traffic jams. Time for a quick goodbye. It was pleasure to be here, invited to be part of the family and even more to come back next year. That’s just a rhetoric question, of course. Yes, sure we will.

Honest Friendship

Does a metal head really need to go to all those big festival as Wacken, Graspop, Hellfest, Summer Breeze? No. Sometimes it is so much nicer to experience those small, local festivals, less squeezed, fairer prices for food and beverages, nearer to the bands who are happy to share more time in between the audience. Forget about the minor problems as the technical issues on Friday and Saturday. A time schedule can be moved. What can’t be moved is the emotion and the honest friendship of those small teams as here on the Rock & Metal Dayz.

More to Come

But this is another story and another article, just about the people and the work behind the curtain and backstage. About the audience. A story the people you meet. It will be about making friends easily. It will describe how The Metal Way Of Life works out. Read it soon!

Thank you M.A.DE. for kids for this wonderful experience, bye until 2023.
