Fire Rose – Album Release Party
That is the perfect entertainment, a real Rock and Roll party. Usually, when a show is over and you got to go home, you leave after the last note or latest after buying your piece of merch or a CD. Not this time, Fire Rose join their audience immediately after the show. They also offer a free drink in form of a cask of apple wine to raise the glasses together for the sake of Rock and Roll music. It will take hours until the last guest leaves the venue...
Julian (Totenkreuz): Trying to keep the local scene alive
Meet Julian, vocalist of the German old-school Death Metal band Totenkreuz. His festivals provide a stage for his band and to support the local metal scene. His story underlines the weight of personal and social media networks for bands and the local scene. Your's too!
Fire Rose – Blood On Your Hands
Today we have the great honour to present you the review of an album, hand forged by our most beloved Swiss guys. We are talking about Fire Rose's "Blood On Your Hands". We link our impressions to the words of Simon "Simi" Giese, guitarist and founder of Fire Rose. Most of the songs are well known to Fire Rose's audience as they are a constant part of their live repertoire, but it will be interesting to find out if the studio tracks have the same energy as the powerful and driving live versions that Fire Rose are loved for by their growing fan base.
Knife – Heaven Into Dust
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of seeing Knife at the Rock & Metal Day'z festival. I had a little chat with singer Vince Nihil and he mentioned the "soon to be released" new album. The wild speed metal performance of Knife convinced me quite a lot, so here it is, the review of "Heaven Into Dust", to be released on 25th August 2023.
Party.San Metal Open Air 2023
The line-up this year was limited to “real” metal, nothing else. I like some fun stuff in between too, but this Party.San line-up was like going back to my youth, a lot of Death Metal. It was a pleasure to see Obituary and Hypocrisy having a headliner spot with an awesome sound, and not just in the afternoon. The sound, by the way, was really great in general. And it was fantastic to see many Death and some Black Metal bands. Some of which I ‘ve never had the chance of seeing before, and now all of them just one after the other.
SETYØURSAILS – Nightfall
SETYØURSAILS is a really interesting, promising and fresh band of four sympathetic musicians with a very impressive second album after their already powerful debut with “Enough” in 2018. Jules Mitch’s unique vocal style and personality surely dominates and carries the sound of both albums.
Crypta – Echoes Over Europe
It is a hot and sunny June Sunday afternoon and I will watch a fantastic Brazilian Thrash Metal band tonight, supported by some Danish guys. We are talking about Crypta and their special guests Katla on the last show of the first leg of their Echoes Over Europe Part 2 Tour.
