The year is almost two months old and time is flying by. 28 February is finally here: the Rock & Metal Day’s Warm-Up Party is taking place at the clubhouse of the organising association, M.A.DE. for Kids e. V. Many guests have ‘threatened’ to come, so it won’t just be club members there — one could truly say that this is a very well-attended event. Several regular photographers have also announced their attendance: Astrid, Kai and Detlev. It’ll be great to see the gang again!
Preparations to transform the club rooms into a concert hall will begin early in the day. Without rushing, every move is carefully considered to ensure everything is ready for the guests in time. M.A.DE. for Kids e. V. has invited two great bands to the party who are both familiar faces from Rock & Metal Day’z: Tinnitus Attack and Blessed Child. Those who arrive early have the honour of listening to both bands’ sound checks and enjoying a cold drink or two with them.
At 19:00, the doors officially open and the crowd pours in, not only at the entrance but also at the donation box and the bar. Thank you to all the donors — admission was free. There is still time before the first performance to quench your thirst and satisfy your hunger at the bar. President Dreas Horn opens the evening with a flourish and, at 20:00 sharp, Tinnitus Attack from Magdeburg get things off to a brutal start. A veritable musical hurricane of trash, death and black metal influences, not to mention melodies and harmonies, ensues.
Incidentally, the new EP “Dreams of Pyromancers” was released on 13 January 2026 and features four new songs. Check out the band’s website! There are also a few older songs to enjoy, and Tinnitus Attack wastes no time in sending us into a frenzy of razor-sharp riffs and relentless drumming from the very first second. That’s how metal should be!

The stage is quickly rearranged and Blessed Child from Braunschweig take to it. A veritable soundscape is created by the combination of classic metal, virtuoso lead guitar and trash metal, making the clubhouse shake for the second time this evening.
There is also news that on 6 November 2026, Blessed Child will release their new studio album, “Kingdom of Storms”, and celebrate it with a release show at B58 in Braunschweig. Tinnitus Attack and Phantom Corporation from Bremen will also be performing. Secure your ticket early.

Like Tinnitus Attack, Blessed Child know how to thrill and captivate the audience. Time flies and, all too soon, the last song is played. The celebrations continue with drinking, the finest metal from two high-spirited bands and deep conversations. But the bands weren’t even the stars of the evening… See for yourself: a six-year-old boy wearing a Slipknot shirt and rocking out like a pro. Early musical education par excellence!
There were other great parents too, who are regular guests at our festival and are doing everything right with their children. It’s wonderful to see the next generation of metalheads growing up!
It was a great evening with two great bands, and the atmosphere was nice and familiar. It fed some of our hunger for metal. Bear in mind that this was just the appetizer — there’s more to come at the end of June 26th–28th with the three-day Rock & Metal Day’z festival, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Get ready for amazing headliners such as Burning Witches, Crematory and Tankard, plus 18 more bands. Here is the complete line-up:
