On the Edge with Margarita
Margarita Monet, the vocalist of Edge Of Paradise and I had spent several hours together already. We’ve been talking about this and that, flight, gear, problems, tour, etc. since I met the band two hours prior doors opened. We almost forgot that we had scheduled an interview. Thus, most of the questions had already been answered by Margarita but not been recorded. We finally sit down backstage around midnight when the venue is emptying, and everybody can become a bit more relaxed.

Helle Bohdanova raises her voice
We were very pleased to meet Helle Bohdanova, vocalist of Ignea from Ukraine, for an interview in early May 2023. Ignea’s new album Dreams Of Lands Unseen had just been released a few days before.

It took quite a while to release the album. Due to the circumstances and war in their Ukrainian home, it had to be postponed from 2022 to 2023. Now the waiting in over. “Dreams Of Lands Unseen” will finally be released and I am indeed quite impressed. Of course Helle’s outstanding vocals are the highlight of Ignea’s sound and I really appreciate the evolution of the band.
KiaRa – Archangel (album review)
KiaRa is one of Imperial Age’s two female vocalists – beside Jane Odintsova. She released her first solo album “Storyteller” in 2020. In her own words, “the sound on this album [Archangel] is much higher quality and professional than on the first one album ‘Storyteller’. The music is also more mature.” I personally liked Storyteller for its roughness quite a lot, let’s see and hear about the progress now.
