What could be better than going to a concert just before Christmas? Right, go with your metal buddy. What is an even better idea? To end the concert year with the same band you started it with. So we make our way to the Swiss town of Sissach near Basel and here we are, ready for the Finale Furioso of our most beloved Swiss guys, Fire Rose!
The Living Room
Fire Rose call the location KIK their living room, and indeed it is. The basement venue is not much bigger than a living room, with a bar and stage at either end. The selection of local and international drinks is good. By the way, KIK stands for Kultur Im Keller, culture in the basement, nomen est omen?
No, this time the culture will be on the roof of the building. The event is planned as a concert and 70s party. The doors open at 19:30, and many of the audience are dressed for the occasion.
70s Party
Fire Rose say hello to everyone, some of them are family members. All in all it is a funny, lovely and colourful bunch of friends. As soon as it is time for the band to change their outfits, the concert starts at 21:00.

Have a look for yourself, Fire Rose surprise with perfect 70s outfits, ranging from hippie style to “German tax officer”. The first song is “Get It All”, followed by “Rise Like The Sun”, “We Are Wild” and “Heroes”. The latter is not a David Bowie cover, but their own original song.

How Sweet!
When everything “Fades To Grey”, it is time for some “Blood On Your Hands” to get colourful again. You still “Don’t Need Somebody” because “Heavy Metal Still Burns”. And it burns like hell. To keep the flames low there is some “Rain Falling Down” before it is finally time for a cover song.

Who remembers Brian Connolly raising his voice to the beat of the drums on ‘Ready Steve’? Andy? Mick? Alright fellas, let’s goooo!”? Philipp calls out Simon, Simi, Flo and Janick instead and it is time for The Sweet’s “Ballroom Blitz”.

More Serious
After this party gem, things get a little more serious with “Fields Of Honour”, which deals with a subject that is as topical as ever with the wars still raging in Ukraine and the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean. There is no honour on a battlefield, only death and destruction.

Then it is time to “Leave Your Cage” because the “Devil On High Heels” is waiting for you. There are plenty of ladies in the audience, so choose one to be the devil. She will certainly set your “Wheels On Fire”.

There are only two songs left before the 70s party after the show. Get ready for “Touchdown” and get ready for some “Tequilla”!

And after show
The show was already incredible, the next five hours of 70s songs from the soundboard are just an amazing and crazy mix of good music, good mood, lovely people, old and new friends. Of course, Fire Rose are with us until the bitter end and even until bedtime. Indeed the night was a worthy Finale Furioso of Fire Rose.

It was an excellent last concert for us and 2025 will start with Fire Rose supporting a metal legend on tour. They will be the special guests of Bonfire. Check the dates and come along, both bands more than deserve your attention!
