Burning Witches are currently on their European 'Witches and Kings' tour and back on German soil. Tonight, they will be performing at Kammgarn in Kaiserslautern. The show sold out, so it was moved from the Cotton Club to the larger Casino to accommodate more metalheads, and even this larger venue was very crowded.
As some of you may have noticed, I finished the 2025 concert year with the Swiss band Fire Rose's Finale Furioso at KIK in Sissach. I told you about traditions, so here we go again: we will begin the 2026 concert year with a Swiss headliner at MystericA’s New Year's Bash Vol. 3 at Eventhall Airport Obertraubling. It's a bit of a family reunion because members of the Rock & Metal Day'z festival crew will either be performing on stage or watching the three bands from the front. All of them have already played on this cosy festival and one will perform as this year’s Friday night headliner…
After a visit to Basel's Christmas markets we get ready for Fire Rose' Finale Furioso at KIK Sissach, Heavy Metal, Lederhosen, Dirndl and Goasmass will rule the party hosted by Sarah and her great team!
No big words, just first pics of two great though very different Swiss events. Detailed reports will follow soon about Eisheilige Nacht and Finale Furioso!!!
When Courtney Cox joined Burning Witches due to Larissa’s pregnancy, I knew this is the ultimate line-up for this Swiss metal band. I am therefore more than happy to review the band's forthcoming release “Inquisition” which is the first to feature Courtney as one of the two lead guitarists. Hopefully, there will be more to come in the future. Praising the excellent technical skills of the five musicians would be like taking coals to Newcastle. So, without further ado, let's check out the 12 tracks.
Are you ready for some punk-inspired Heavy Metal? Are you ready for an outstanding all female Heavy Metal band? Are you ready for some Austrian Heavy Metal? Now you will get it all at once. No compromises, let’s get ready for Vulvarine’s debut album on Napalm Records. The album was released on March 28th, at the same day, Vulvarine played their home town Vienna at Szene Wien. Let’s now get ready for a wild ride on the “Fast Lane”.
I can easily count them as one of my heroes from my youth. Apart from a short hiatus in the late 90s, the band has been around since 1972, first under the name Cacumen and since 1986 as Bonfire. The new album “Higher Ground” release is set on 24th January, three singles have already been released and the tour of the same name has just started. Tonight they play the legendary 7er Club in Mannheim.
