Rock & Metal Day’z 2025 – we did it!
On Sunday 22nd June morning I make my way to the second of three festivals. My car is fully packed for a raid to Oschersleben and Rock & Metal Day’z 2025. As last year, it is going to be a demanding 10 days experience. Now I meet with the others who have been eagerly awaiting this weekend for a year. They are the members of MA.D.E.for Kids e. V. and friends who will be hosting Rock & Metal Day'z 2025 from 26th to 28th June. They are very excited about the new location, the Autocross-Rennstrecke An Den Sieben Bergen in Oschersleben. How will the set-up go, will it be too cramped, are there any uncertainties, or will everything run smoothly?
Rock & Metal Day’z 2024 – Here We Were
The festival once again was worth all the efforts and it proved that metal is not male dominated anymore with the two headliners on Saturday being all female bands, the co-headliner on Friday being female fronted and the audience being a good mix of generations and genders. Metal unites.

RMD’z 2024 – Here We Come!
If you read our festival reports from 2022 and 2023, you will understand that this is not a "normal" commercial metal festival, but a very special one. The Rock & Metal Day'z is organised by the charity organisation M.A.DE. for Kids e.V. Its mission is to help children and young people in need and their families. One focus is cancer aid. All proceeds and donations go to this charity. So, what's a better reason to go to a metal festival?
Rock & Metal Day’z – Behind the Curtain
While most visitors to concerts and festivals concentrate on the obvious only, the bands on stage, I often like to take a closer look behind. Who are the people working hard for it since we know, Pink is not there for our entertainment? What goes on backstage, who is in charge? How much work is behind a three days’ event? At least, who are those people who seem to play a role in front of stage as part of the audience? Here is a little insight from the Rock and Metal Day'z, Whitsun 2022.
Rock & Metal Day’z 2022
The early summer sun has burned the metalheads while they celebrated the first wave of festivals. You might now think of Metalfest Plzen or much bigger and more mainstream, Rock am Ring and im Park with 85,000 spectators as the first ones to come up. Cut the last two zeros. I’m talking about a much smaller, laid-back festival, the Rock & Metal Day'z at Oschersleben nearby Magdeburg.
