I know, there still are many other new albums of great and rising bands to be released in 2024. But it’s only February, and I might have already heard my “album of the year”. I can’t find any weak point in “Another Side Of You”.
It has been quite a while since I last enjoyed Dutch Delain. I simply needed time to come over the loss of Merel and Charlotte. It finally led to a completely new line-up of the band with founder and keyboarder Martijn Westerholt remaining the only surviving original member. Marco Pastorino of Temperence: "We are not using any guitar in the backing tracks and also no vocals and choirs in the backing tracks." Now that is a statement in the times of an overload of backing tracks and lip sync by far too many bands.
Today we review the newest release of Italian Symphonic Metalists Temperance. “Hermitage - Daruma's Eyes Pt. 2” contains 14 songs. They tell the story of the protagonist Victor catapulted into the magical village Hermitage by finding the Japanese doll Daruma.
