The festival season 2024 is running well. There is no weekend without any and sometimes two or three share the same date. The one I report about today moved its date from late May to late June, just one week before Rockharz Festival. Both locations, campground of Motorsportarena Oschersleben and Flugplatz Asmusstedt are just 45 km away from each other, so I combined both events to my personal festival marathon. Of course I mean the benefit-festival Rock & Metal Day’z 2024.
As any other festival, it doesn’t build itself up all on its own. So first people of the crew meet on Sunday before the event to build up the whole infrastructure, stage, backstage area., etc. having to finish work by Thursday afternoon. Thursday
Thursday is the day of the traditional Warm-Up-Party. Last year April Art opened it, this time it is up to Out The Mouse to deliver a great show from 20:00 on. And their wild mixture between metalized German Schlager, Metal and Punk really does its duty!
The second slot of Thursday is reserved for Blacksmith. They cannot find an end extending their set for 60 minutes. Don’t mistake them for some other international bands of the same name. They are from Germany and play good old Rock and Roll.
