Fire Rose – Finale Furioso 25 at KIK

The Swiss weekend part II

Christmas markets rule!

As promised, we are continuing our Swiss adventure. We enjoy a simple breakfast on the go during our train ride to Basel. We plan to explore the city, visit the local Christmas markets and take a historic ferry ride over the River Rhine. Of course, we also want to enjoy a traditional Swiss lunch before returning to our hotel to prepare for the Finale Furioso of Fire Rose at KIK.

Goasmass rules!

Mission fulfilled with ease on a very sunny day! We got ready and dressed up in Bavarian clothes – Lederhosen and Dirndl at best, Bavarian-inspired carnival costume at worst. We also make some donations to the small non-profit club KIK to ensure the Bavarian theme night is a success – Goasmass will rule! It’s a mixture of dark beer, cola and cherry liqueur – tasty, sweet and dangerous if you drink too much too fast.

Bavaria rules!

The doors open and the first guests arrive, welcomed by Sarah and the Fire Rose crew. There is plenty of time before the show starts and it becomes clear that the venue will be sold out, with most of the guests being familiar faces. Many of them are dressed as Bavarians too, but some are wearing their usual metalhead clothes or a mix of both. Then the background music falls silent and we hear the intro to what is to come for the next 90 minutes. Bavarian Blasmusik! We get it all! We’re wild and don’t need anyone because we rise like the sun.

.

Risk rules!

Vocalist Philipp explains the idea behind the Bavarian theme, Goasmass and its risks, of course. I had shared enough of it with Fire Rose in the past, so I knew what he was talking about. When the time comes to leave your cage and visit the bar for another drink, rest assured that there won’t be any blood on your hands, just maybe a sip of cherry liqueur…

KIK rules!

But there is hope for you in this arena because we are all heroes. The mood is already escalating, and there’s more to come, but first, the rain is falling. It’s not tonight, and it’s not from the ceiling of the cosy cellar club KIK, but the longer the night goes on, the stronger it becomes.

.

Fire Rose rules!

There’s still life in the old dog yet when the devil in high heels takes to the stage and the rocket flies to the rainbow. Allow Fire Rose a moment to catch their breath before returning for the encores, and then it’s time for the after-show party.

.

Polonaise rules!

All it needs is a touchdown to set the wheels on fire. Once the last note has been played, the audience and Fire Rose start a polonaise upstairs and out into the cold, finishing with final photos of Fire Rose and their guests.

.

Party rules!

The party remains fairly private; some people have to leave early to catch their train, while others just wanted to see the main event. The inner circle of friends and the Fire Rose family stay until dawn. The night turns into a wild mixture of NDW-hits and classic metal songs. What a day, what a night, and what a finale! Excellent party time! And the date for next year’s Finale Furioso with a different theme is already confirmed: 12. December 2026!!!

.

Support rules!

On a side note, like many local clubs KIK struggles with running costs and the phenomenon of people who would rather watch AI music on a live stream or YouTube concerts than enjoy live music with a bunch of people who share a love of music. It’s important to keep clubs like KIK alive. Without them, the foundation for the next generation of bands will disappear forever. It’s up to you to support them — they’ll repay you with heart and soul, you can be sure of that.
