It seems that spring has finally taken control of the weather and temperatures are rising again. For us, it is time for an update and some short May news.
The show was a blast. I can only recommend to check the dates, get a ticket while they are available and go to the show. It is well worth your time and money. I personally believe that next time I will see Manntra in a bigger venue, they are rising and rising and they deserve all their success because it is the result of hard work.
I have to thank Hell Boulevard for "Requiem". It is a fantastic album and a worthy successor to "Not Sorry", their 2020 release. The influence of Chris Harms is undeniable, but not dominant. That's what I call a perfect collaboration. Check out the album and the German tour dates in April. Is there any venue near you? Go and enjoy the gothic party!
Are you ready for some really different metal? It is not industrial metal and it is not gothic metal. Neither is it power metal nor symphonic metal. Instead, it is a unique mix of all these genres combined with a good portion of folk metal, folkloric Croatian influences and catchy melodies! Welcome to Manntra's War Of The Heathens presented by NoCut Entertainment!
Quad Brutal is the perfect soundtrack on a racetrack or to pump up your muscles in the gym. I believe, it was written and produced to fulfill exactly this role. Nothing more, nothing less. Thus, in its way it is a perfect album which does its job. Go for it if you like very fast, very brutal guitar riffs and harsh vocal or spend a lot of time in your local gym. AND don’t take everything too serious 😉
I am not very much into the world of instrumental albums and bands but Monkey3 blew me away. Welcome to the machine is a perfect soundtrack for the film you create when you close your eyes. Leave reality and let your visions come true in your inner eyes. Let your imagination rule your thoughts and your mind. Wake up and compare this fiction with reality. Is it so far away?
Go and get your tickets and maybe we will meet in front of Captain "Timothy" Bornfleth and his crew, the mighty "Olaf" Bornfleth, "Ughar der schrecklich Durstige" Braatz, "Fabi" Kirschke on hurdy-gurdy "Paulie" Martens. And if he can rely on his crew, we can rely on a perfect show and a barrel of beer. Don't hesitate and set your sails to seek the storm together!
I know, there still are many other new albums of great and rising bands to be released in 2024. But it’s only February, and I might have already heard my “album of the year”. I can’t find any weak point in “Another Side Of You”.
Welcome to the world of Symphonic Metal. What started with Leviathan in 2021 and was continued with Leviathan II in 2022 will find its finale with Leviathan III. Of course we are talking about Swedish symphonic metal legends Therion who have just completed the Leviathan trilogy now.
