The Metal genre is an ever-developing organism, mainly driven by and greatly benefiting from fresh ideas. Which is all the more reason to appreciate unique, groundbreaking bands such as Bloodywood.
One of those bands you immediately recognize as a promising rising star. One you know will crawl up the festival billings fast.
Only three years after Karan Katiyar founds Bloodywood, they already play the holy grounds of the Wacken Open Air 2019. Capturing their journey in a deeply inspiring documentation about culture, determination, conviction, and trust, they blow through the roof internationally.
Finally, in 2022 the band releases their first full-length album “Rakshak” and goes on a huge and greatly successful world tour. With barely enough songs for a full headline show, they even play “Gaddaar” twice throughout these fantastic shows.
Having recently signed with Fearless Records, it’s evident that their second album is right around the corner and hopefully to be released before the upcoming tour. This is also emphasized by the recent single release “Bekhauf” featuring Babymetal. With a music video performing successfully beyond even Bloodywood’s wildest imaginations according to their socials.
Kicking off in Copenhagen, Denmark on February 21st, Bloodywood will bring their “Nu Dehli” sound – a play on words on their town of origin, New Dehli – to venues all over Europe and the UK and later on even Japan. The blend of traditional and modern elements as well as cleans, harsh vocals, and rapping has their fanbase bursting with anticipation.
Come see them live at the LKA Longhorn in Stuttgart on March 8th, 2025, or many other tour dates. With about three times the capacity of this year’s venue, Bloodywood are definitely stepping up their game again next year in 2025. So far no support is announced, but we stay excited.
