Ulmich om Braand 2026

– first impressions –

I have just returned from the UOB (Ulmich om Braand) festival, which is held somewhere between Frankfurt and Fulda in a fantastic, picturesque setting. The festival experienced Wacken-style weather conditions on Friday, followed by a fantastic sunny but not hot Saturday, which dried up all the mud as well as possible. Anyway, before I talk too much, here are my first impressions of this two-days festival.
Make sure you grab your ticket for 2027 soon — it’s worth it!

Friday

Friday began at 5 pm with five bands performing on the main stage. The night’s closing act was moved from the smaller Rohbau stage to the main stage for good reason.
Here are Hot Wire, V.E.R.S.U.S., Journey, Victory and Black Jack. Mike Gerhold played short but brilliant acoustic sets in between their slots.

Saturday

After a short and rough night, Saturday started early at 1 pm, which is hardly a metal morning. The day featured better weather and seven bands on the main stage. The UOB festival house band Dykes shared the Rohbaustage with Mike Gerold. Without further ado, here are the first pictures of Sirens Course, Skull & Crossbones, Stepfather Fred, Maschinist, GodSnake, Dirkschneider and Living Theory, who closed the festival.
