I have been dabbling in photography since I was kid. Box cameras, instamatics, then 35mm film cameras. In the late 70’s I went to a concert and took photos, no one cared at first. That came to an end in 1980, I was so disappointed. When the first digital cameras came, I got more interested and serious about photography. For many years I did nothing but landscape photography and started to sell my work with great success.
In May of 2014, I walked into a small venue and asked about photographing a band (Avatar) that was playing there. The owner of the venue, Tony, said sure. Little did I know then that my life was going to unbelievably change. My two passions, photography and music, have taken me on an amazing journey moving into my 11th year as a concert photographer and reviewer. I have met artists from around the world photographing bands from 33 different countries. I am living the dream of being a concert photographer. To this day, stepping in front of the stage to photograph a band, I still get as excited as a 5 year old on Christmas morning!
