I first saw SETYØURSAILS last year and they surprised me with their fresh modern metalcore and impressive vocals. Their lyrics are in English and sometimes not for the faint hearted, as songwriter Jules doesn't hold back her thoughts in the slightest. The music is aggressive in the most positive way, but that is exactly what the audience expects and deserves.
If you are a fan of Dark and/or Gothic Metal, you have probably heard of Mono Inc. Now Martin Engler, Katha Mia, Carl Fornia and Val Perun are back with a real gem of a tour, their second symphonic tour. It takes Mono Inc. and their orchestral ensemble through 18 German cities and mostly unique venues like the Christuskirche in Bochum, Bad Elster’s König Albert Theater, or St. Matthäus in Munich and many more.
Tonight was a night of perfect entertainment. None of the bands was better or worse than the others. Even Infected Rain with their shorter set could enchant the audience on a level equal to both headliners, DragonForce and Amaranthe. I loved that the show tonight was sold out, it gives me hope that the Corona years with half empty venues are history now.
Once again, I’ve seen three excellent bands. Even though their slots had quite usual lengths, I could have enjoyed each of them for a few more minutes and songs.
The show was a blast. I can only recommend to check the dates, get a ticket while they are available and go to the show. It is well worth your time and money. I personally believe that next time I will see Manntra in a bigger venue, they are rising and rising and they deserve all their success because it is the result of hard work.
It is time for Captain "Timothy" Bornfleth on lead vocals and his crew, "Olaf" Bornfleth on percussion and drums, "Ughar der schrecklich Durstige" Braatz on beer barrel, keys and accordion, "Fabi" Kirschke on hurdy-gurdy and "Paulie" Martens on guitar. They miss out the bass player but never the barrel filled with beer.
Are you ready for some really different metal? It is not industrial metal and it is not gothic metal. Neither is it power metal nor symphonic metal. Instead, it is a unique mix of all these genres combined with a good portion of folk metal, folkloric Croatian influences and catchy melodies! Welcome to Manntra's War Of The Heathens presented by NoCut Entertainment!
Go and get your tickets and maybe we will meet in front of Captain "Timothy" Bornfleth and his crew, the mighty "Olaf" Bornfleth, "Ughar der schrecklich Durstige" Braatz, "Fabi" Kirschke on hurdy-gurdy "Paulie" Martens. And if he can rely on his crew, we can rely on a perfect show and a barrel of beer. Don't hesitate and set your sails to seek the storm together!
